All those USA players in their prime?
Damn....the other team would not stand a chance.
USA
Jordan
Bird
Magic
Wilt Chamberlain
Bill Russel
Foreign
Nowitzki
Nash
Yao
Pau Gasol
Tim Duncan
Would it be a blowout for USA????
All those USA players in their prime?
Damn....the other team would not stand a chance.
Both teams in their prime.
Is he better than any of those on the foreign team ? Heeeeell no.
If they played today, the international team may escape with a win, given that Wilt is dead, Russell is like 65 years old, and Bird, Magic and Jordan are all like 300 lbs.
In their primes? USA team could beat them by at least 20 points, easy.
Only one in the international list is top 10/15 of all time. The other four are maybe in the top 200, 300 all time? All 5 in the USA list is top 10 all time.
I am sure that USA best has no compe ion... But, let's see...
WORLD:
PG Alexandar Djordjevich
SG Drazen Petrovich
SF Tony Kukoc
PF Dirk Nowitzki
C Arvydas Sabonis
reserves:
Vlade Divac
Predrag Danilovich
Tony Parker
Pau Gasol
Manu Ginobili
Yao Ming
Drazen Dalipagich
USA
PG Magic
SG MJ
SF Bird
PF Duncan
C Abdul-Jabbar
reserves (really doesn't matter for team USA...)
Pippen
Karl Malone
Stockton
Drexler
Chamberlain
Dr.J
Olajuwon
Ok...the US team still big. Both teams in their prime.
Duncan is considered foreign......I looked it up. But anyhow.
PG / Tony Parker
SG / Drazen Petrovic
SF / Manu Ginobili
PF / Dirk nowitski
C / Sabonis or Divac
Bench
Beno![]()
Djorjevic
Kirilenko (in his prime...)
Kukoc
Okur
Gazol
Sabonis or Divac
Yao
Euros weakness would be at the 3 spot.
What about today......like the top Internationals vs the Top USA team....
Nash/Tony Parker
Manu
Deng
Dirk
Duncan/Yao
Kidd/Billups/Paul
Kobe/Wade
Melo/Lebron
Garnett/Bosh
Howard/Shaq
That would be a fun series to watch.....best of 7 I give to the USA team as they would have a stronger bench overall...
I like the now teams, though I would go with this line-up
PG - Nash / Parker
SG - Manu / Barbosa
SF - Dirk / Deng
PF - Duncan / Nocioni
C - Yao / Nene
Its still a little thin, but this team would put up a fight against the US squad
That team has a high chance of winning.
LMAO! No Hakeem on any of these. , technically Ewing is foreign as well, being born in Jamaica and all...
I would like to see a US-World game at All Star Weekend.
The problem with having a US v World is that this is as deep as the World goes at this point ... At least in the NBA right now. Raja Bell AK-47 and some younger players could round out the roster .. But that is about it.PG - Nash / Parker
SG - Manu / Barbosa
SF - Dirk / Deng
PF - Duncan / Nocioni
C - Yao / Nene
all time foreign team, i would pick:
nash
manu
kukoc
olajuwon
sabonis
with parker, petrovic, nocioni, dirk, duncan as the 2nd unit
(no, manu isnt better than duncan, but he is the best international SG- and i think duncan complements dirk better than sabonis does)
SF, SG, PG are the weakest spots for the internationals by far
Petrovic
Galis
Bodiroga
Kukoc
Sabonis

?
A young Sabonis gives you athleticism and better than Chris Webber passing... He compliments anyone...
Man... what are you talking about? I must admit that I forgot Bodiroga, Stojakovic and Galis, But Bodiroga never played PG and Kukoc nevor played PF...
If you played on the USA National Team - you're on team USA.
