Wow.
Miss Teen South Carolina has a plan to help you with that.
aand the best (sad?) part is ... although she may not have won... she did place.
I didn't hear a word she said.
What a stupid question to ask in the first place.
Better video with transcript.

Poor girl. It seems to me that she got nervous. I can relate. Public speaking scared the out of me
Miss Teen South Carolina: "I personally believe the U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, uh...people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and...I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., err, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our..."
Eh, makes more sense than some of the posts in the political forum.
sounds more nervous than stupid.
But maps won't help.
There are americans that can't tell you where Utah is.
I believe that if you showed the average American a map and gave him or her 10 states to find, they'd miss half. , if the map were labeled, they'd probably miss 1 or 2.
She has a bright future ahead of her in the adult film world.
What happened to teaching geography?
that went out the door due to school budget cuts along with art, gym, and music.
but seriously - schools are too crowded, underfunded - and most importantly - PARENTS DO NBOT FOLLOWUP OR SUPPLEMENT AT HOME. they expect the craptastic public schoold to do all the teaching. I really believe kids learn best from thier parents taking an active and intereested role in imparting knowledge to them. The sad truth is the majority of Americans can't "find" the time to read to thier kids on a daily basis.
I've farted better english than that
I figured Ducklish was strictly a written language. I guess I was wrong.
What. The. Foc.
Forget geography. What happened to teaching grammar?
However, I have to admit the first sentence was classic: "I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps."![]()
"Thank you very much, Miss South Carolina."![]()
I think ducks has found his soulmate.
Wait a second. What if that was ducks?
the that just say..... she should just shut the up, play her position and let me bust on her face.....
I think she was told by her handlers to get in certain buzz words, and she was not bright enough to understand that they did not pertain to her question. Obviously, she was supposed to mention South Africa and Iraq... The funny thing- saying people don't have maps was actually the most pertinent thing she said!
Incoming Texas high school freshman this year- to obtain the recommended graduation program- must take one year of Geography.
