I know i should not be complaining...when i was in texas that humidity was horrific...but this heat wave california is having is going to kill me...
this is how hot it was in my house at 4:38pm this afternoon...this is in my house! Our AC unit in the apartment is not working...
It is 7:57 now...and its dropped to 110...someone put me out of my misery!

It's been so freaking hot, and it happened all of a sudden. We were having beautiful 80 degree weather and now it's over 100 degrees every day. It's been topping out at 105 (or so) where I'm at so those that are more inland are even hotter. I'm really glad I had my Palm Springs vacation when I did, it's gotta be completely miserable right now.
Shoot, down here in SA it's been a unique summer. At the present time we are like 15 degrees below our normal. We haven't reached 100 this summer, have we? With three more weeks of summer left- will we?

The beach is the place to be. I was in Santa Monica the other day and it felt at least 10 degrees cooler than Pasadena.

no joke... i spent the weekend in redondo, and it was good. of course, now that i'm back in my apartment it is still 85 inside at close to midnight.

The sun is crazy right now in Cali. I was down at Redondo Beach all day yesterday, I put a grip of SPF 50 on 3 times in the day, and I still look like a tomato.
I was in Joshua Tree just a little more than a week ago, and it was a comfortable 95. Now its getting hotter than that on the freaking Westside.
I put two meat thermometers on my back porch yesterday...They read 120 degrees....But it is a dry heat...
Yey!!! My house is 12 degrees cooler today at a refreshing 100 degrees

I don't think we've even gone above 96 degrees this summer, never mind 100. It is magical, and I have no reason to complain about the rain or humidity because I love the temps that come with it. I feel sorry for the people going through droughts elsewhere, but at the same time, I'm selfishly happy for our break. This time most years it is 105 degrees and dry as a bone down here in SA. The break is nice.
