stupid not only latin player's but the international players.
Because guys like oberto, ginobili or scola were already very good.
The americans just opened their eyes
That latin player's are becoming better and better in basketball around the world. Look at Scola, Manu, Gausol, Fab's, Andreas Nicorrnii, Rudy Fernandez, ect..and other player's i can't even name now. Basketball could be the new soccer for latin player's.

I've noticed that newbs are stupid.
Really Oh Gee? Ok smart guy is that all you can say? Or is that the only stupid comment you can come up with?
And i was speaking about latin player's not all international player's. Read the thread sometimes..It's in english.
You're not from Argentina--I hope.
It's tough for them to break into the league because of the barrier presented by speaking a dead language. GO SPVRS GO!
Cool...I get it.
I want to be a better basketball player....I guess I'll start speaking Spanish, or French, or Portuguese, or Italian....you know, to improve my game.
Yeah....it's always been the way it is now.
Sin,
The Olympics.
More like they don't suck now as much as they used too...
IT's a gnerational thing...right now there is a great generation of basketball players coming from outside the USA...Argentina had a great generation of players...
Just like 20 years ago, there was a great generation of 7 foot players, mainly in America...but elsewhere as well.
They got old and retired and now the C position largely sucks except for like 2 guys...
And no...the NBA teams are not biased against Nationality or race etc...they are biased against a lack of talent.
You suck at playing basketball, regardless of the language you speak![]()
hahaha! you people are funny. Language and where you are from has nothing to do if you play good or not. I'm saying since in this time and age.
Those who notice would have noticed a long time ago...at the very least, by 2002.
I'm not talking about 2002. Try 90's 80's 70's
Well then, why are you even asking the question now...and of all places in a fairly savvy basketball forum, if you are talking about the 90's, 80's and 70's?
I'm just saying after watching FIBA this past weekend. I was impressed on how it has came along way since 2002.
spurQ, maybe I'm coming across a bit harsh here, but I'm just trying to understand why you are asking if we have noticed that Latin players are becoming better and better. If anyone is going to notice, it would be people in south Texas and the San Antonio area. If anyone is going to notice, it would be fans of a team that drafted a star in Manu Ginobili. And if anyone is going to notice, it would be at a site where there are quite a few knowledgeable basketball fans. That's all I'm trying to figure out. No worries, though.
All international basketball has come far, where were the last 3 MVPs from, America?
I see no romanian basketball star. Yet he would speak a LATIN language.
Canada
Germany
France.
Nash and Nowitzki speak no LATIN language, actually.
Kevin Garnett was French??![]()
Romel Beck from Mexico, via Cali, can play, too.
Solid D. Maybe i offened you. And i apologize. This thread was not to come off the wrong way. I'm happy that their are stars coming from all over the world. Again i was saying in over all how the game is changing. By the way i'm from austin. Born and raised. 1972 child. And Spurs fan since 8years old. I think i qualify for having knowledge about the Spurs. Thanks.
You forgot one Romance language. Romanian, who would have thought.
