Did I just experience a Hard Drive Crash?

My computer turned off by itself and when I restarted it I got a message in a black background that said '' INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER'' I got this message about 2 times, I turned off the computer for a few minutes, then turned it back on and now it works fine. Am I doomed?

boot from another hdd...and see if that hdd is still workn if not...you been served
