I like to joke around with people and say that i wish we would have drafted van horn instead of duncan ( again just joking) and everytime their response is " we wouldnt have 4 championships if we did that". My favorite response to that is "yea ur right....we would have atleast 8".. come join in on the Keith Van Horn Bandwagon peeps.

Do you all remember when Vanhorn and Duncan were rookies and he used to come out publicily and say that he was better than Duncan and that it was a mistake not drafting him. Well it looks like 10 years later he was wrong.
I gotta see those articles. Do you remember where they were or where I can find them? That's too funny.
I will have to see If I can find them. I remember one instance in particular during an interview after a game that the nets won where he said something like, "see I told you I would come out on top." or something like that.
The other time I specifically remember him slighting Duncan was a game where duncan caught an inbounds pass and put in a reverse layup for the win at the buzzard and KVH said that Duncan was not a good enough player to make that shot in that amount of time. He followed it up with some comment like" I mean I could not make that shot, but whatever." I remember thinking what a tool he was.

I liked Keith Van Horn back in the day, but not enough to bring him out of retirement.
There was a nationally syndicated guy, Peter King, who had the 2 - 5 slot on the Ticket back in '97 that absolutely RAILED on the Spurs for taking Duncan - said Van Horn was by far the better pick.
He wasn't right.

I am totally in favor of KVH in the silver and black. Hopefully he will continue the proud tradition of ex-Mavericks heading south on I-35 and will work out as well as NVE.

KVH is a soft, inconsistent, mentally fragile, streaky shooter. By the time the 2006 NBA finals had rolled around, he had virtually played himself out of the Mavs' rotation. Probably the reason they allowed him to walk away.
If he does decide to come back, look for Denver to make a run. Word is KVH would prefer not to move his family ever again.
