Looks like McNabb came back too early and outside of Avant, their WRs are garbage.

That was the ugliest pass i've ever seen when Curtis was WIDE ING OPEN for the score. Mcnabb does suck.

So it's gonna be a race between Dallas and Washington for the division le.

    Skins 2-0.

I don't know if the Skins can afford another O-Line injury, but they do have the division's best 1-2 RB tandem and the division's best secondary.

This was definitely the kind of game that they would have lost over the past decade+, so it's good to see them pull out the victory.

Cowboys will destroy the Redskins. Redskins beat 2 ty teams. Miami and Philly. They barely defeated both as well.

the way the Redskins play, they are going to play in lower scoring games and not likely to blow many teams out.

Redskins' D looks significantly better than Dallas' at this point.

    Should be a fun season.

This is probably true, which is why you need to get the smack talk in now.

I just loved how the Eagles fans were more into booing Emmitt and chanting "Dallas Sucks!" than anything else. Philly's obsessive hatred of Dallas is hilarious.

I don't know about that. By the second quarter - the Redskins O-Line was missing 3/5 of its starters from last year (Dockery to Buffalo, Jansen & Thomas to injury) - including the entire right side. And Philly's blitz packages STILL weren't getting anywhere near Campbell. I think they have some major questions on the defensive side of the ball - and even if McNabb gets back to playing like we have been accustomed to, that may not be enough to overcome them.

All team's have injuries. Philly had to deal with plenty as well, including Sheppard, Dawkins, Westbrook, and William Thomas. But the fact is, they always start slow, and finish strong, not just McNabb, the whole team. They showed a stat that in weeks 1 and 2, Andy Reid is like 8-10, and the rest of the year he is 76-26 or something around those numbers.

It's not about how you start, but about how you finish. It's too early to say that the Eagles are not going to contend. They will definitely be in the playoffs, and still possibly in the race for the divisional le (I expected them to win the division, but Dallas' offense is much better than I expected, and getting Newman back will be huge for that defense)

I don't think Philly makes the PO this year for two big reasons: 1) Their defense is a s of it's former self and isn't nearly as dominant, and 2) McNabb's serious knee injury is still obviously bothering him. I don't think it will get much better while he's playing on it during the season so I don't see him as being very effective. Those two things add up to a 6-10 or 7-9 record.

Washington is intriguing me right now. I still don't think Campbell or the offense are explosive enough to beat the upper crust of the league or the NFC, but they control the ball and haven't made many mistakes. They will be in a lot of close games this year and whether or not they make the PO will depend on how many of those close games they can win. If you see Washington on your schedule you can pretty much bet you aren't going to get an easy win.

If you look at the list of 0-2 teams the only one I really think will make the PO is NO, mainly because of their ty division. The Rams have a good shot, but their division appears tougher and they better get their together soon.

After watching last night's game, the Lions can beat the Eagles. I never thought that was even a remote possibility three weeks ago.

OTOH, they'll probably lose by 4 TDs.

We'll know a lot more about the Skins come this time next week. If they beat the Giants following the big road win, it'll be a sign that they are determined to take care of business. If they let a battered Giants team beat them at home - it will be just another example of them tantalizing us one week and then falling flat on their face the next.

Yeah, but in most of those years he's had a healthy McNabb and a solid to very good defense. When healthy, the Eagles still have a strong secondary. But there are some questions on that front 7 (although they actually did a good job of containing Portis/Betts last night - only 130 yards combined after they run on Miami for almost 200).
