I thought we needed another break from the other thread so i thought I would start one a little bit lighter.
Does anyone else agree that we have to be the worst groomed bball team in the NBA? Tim's hair looks like 90 of the time and Tony Parker goes weeks between shaving his face and head. Barry looks like an extra from Boogie Nights and Gino is breeding new insects in his mop.
Is there some kind of team rule that says to play for the Spurs you have to look like total ass during the season? I guess "Evil" and his handle bar mustache would fit right in....
Thoughts? Opinions? Other nominations?

Maybe Brent should chop it all off... You know those supers ious things about cutting or growing hair when winning or loosing, well Brent hasn't been making the shots so maybe it's time for that mop to go....

I think Duncan should never cut his fro untless they win the NBA Finals, that is good motivation.

It makes him look dirty and unkept. But I think he keeps it this way cuz he's supers ious about cutting it, I remember reading about that last year.
yeah, he usually cuts it right around the same time every year.
Beno has totaly different hairstyle then any other year, so i guess you are right, if you are not a hippy, then you cant play for the spurs
How you completely neglected to mention Beno is beyond me. He's got the worst hair in the team imo. It's like a giant greasy plastic mold. Reminds me of the snap-on hair you'd see on lego action figures.
I was just thinking about Tim's hair last night...it was looking a bit unkempt. He needs to keep it short and tight. Same thing goes for Pop. He should just go with the military look.
I definitely can't stand Tim with the shaved look. His hair is fine the way it is.

I can think of many others who might fit the bill of poorly groomed - how about Dirk with his "70's Porn Star" look, Steve Nash (enough said), Brian Grant's dreadlocks, and Stephen Jackson's braids and headband!
Latrell Sprewell's schwinn handlebar haircut.
Same for Troy Hudson.
And Danny Fortson.

Oh man, I forgot about Fortson and those ludicrous braids. He looks like a complete idiot with those pigtails. Sort of like a cross between Mike Tyson and Pipi Longstocking.
What do you expect?? The team has a bunch of stinky Europeans on the roster. You know that Europeans rarely bathe, much less wash their hair or use deodorant.
Why do you think the Spurs defense is so good? No one wants to drive the lane and get that stanke all over them!!
Yeah the Spurs look goofy, but as I pointed out about a week ago, they're just doing the Red Sox thing. Look at the start they're off to. Beno just needs to grow a beard and start looking like Jesus a little more. And I'm sure Tim and Devin Brown can activate their hair to Manny and Pedro levels. Then throw some cornrows on Brent Barry, since that's what turned Bronson Arroyo around.
I know a lot of Europeans, and I'd say that at least 52% of them don't stink. . .much.
