I mean, all the other teams are unathletic, and can't shoot like the ones in the nineties.

Step away from the drugs! What makes you think other teams are not athletic and that the Spurs are so athletic? Suns can shoot, they just have to work harder on defense.

Even if they were good enough, which they aren't, Pop would sit his starters after they clinched HCA, as per usual, and give those last games away.

    Dream on, dreamer.

I fully expect to go 82-0 this season. Anything less is a disappointment. Even if Pop rests the big guns after we clinch home court around the 60-0 mark, I think Beno, Bonner, and Ian can reel off another 22 straight wins or so to end the regular season perfect.

Barry, Udrih and Bonner will shoot the lights-out of anyone who will try to stop the Spurs.

The Spurs are so good, in this age of thinned out talent and unskilled hacks, that they will go 85-0. Three teams that they thrash on the floor will forfeit after the game has been decided, hence the 85 wins. Then they will go 4-0 in the playoffs, since all the other playoff teams would rather give up than face them.

In the following Autumn's NBA preview issue, the 2008 Spurs will still be ranked behind the 1986 Celtics, the 1987 Lakers, the 1996 Bulls, the 1989 Pistons, the 1970 Knicks, and the 1977 Blazers. "No big man ever passed the ball like Walton," they'll say.

If somehow we could have some of the greats from the 80's & 90's like Caldwell Jones, Cedric "Cornbread" Maxwell, World B Free and Maurice Lucas I'd feel much better about going 85-0. I guess it's still possible.
