The DirecTV HR20 has dual tuners. HDTivo has dual tuners.

Recording one program while watching another hasn't been an issue for years.

it was an issue as of 6 months ago for people who only have one Cable Feed to a tv. Dish and Time Warner can somehow split the signal.

No idea. I've had two runs of cable since I started receiving HD three years ago.

I have HD Tivo, and you need the two cables due to its looking at two sattelites at the same time, let alone record, Tivo has always needed the two cables to record and watch different at the same time.

Yeah you have Dish and they do that, but you don't have NFL sunday ticket and what not

I signed up for Sunday ticket but the Tivo thing killed the deal for me. Recording my wife's program while I'm watching football is a must.

If it's a step towards providing all channels, even Country Music Television, in HD, I'm for it.

U-Verse has NFL but who cares about that anyways I live in Dallas that's the only team that counts. Bummer is no NBA league pass.
