?? He's hated the Saudi regime for ages. The genesis of that was the invasion of Kuwait. He offered to take his ragtag band and kick Saddam's ass out of there. The Saudi regime said no. If only they had let him try. The Republican guard would have drop kicked his as straight to a meeting with his 72 virgins.

Anyways, he's hated both the Saudis and the Americans since. This is not news.

Oh I know he's hated them, but his whole "the government must go down" thing has been mainly directed at Afgahnistan for the last several years.

Go read Imperial Hubris, it's all there in black in white about one of Osama's primary goals being a true seat of Islam. His primary hope and target for that has been Afghanistan, so for him to be redirecting that rhetoric at SA is a sign to me that he's realized Afghanistan is lost.
