That's a good deal. He'd be stupid not to try to get back in over the next couple of seasons.

Former Spurs swingman James White has signed a four-year contract with Fenerbahce of Turkey, agent Bill McCandless told HoopsHype.com. White will have opt-out clauses at the end of every season in case he wants to get back in the NBA.

Good luck to Flight White, hopefully he'll come back and join the slam dunk contest at least once in his career.
He will play the Euroleague. It means that he will start in Europe at the highest level and won't be forget by NBA scouts.

Good luck to him. Maybe in a few years we can see him back in a Spurs uni.![]()
Isn't anybody going to say it?
Did I miss a meeting where we just put exclamation points in?
Well, I think you! missed it! New rule in which you can! put a ! point! anywhere you want in the sentence.
James White!
i was surprised he didnt show anywhere, sometimes i get the impression US players avoid europe like a downgrade, when plenty of them (+ foreigners) have come back to good careers in the NBA (i'd see it like a party!). it even gives a lot of the egomaniacs a chance to be the man, not to mention see the world. i guess i'm surprised it doesnt happen more, is all i'm saying.
if white or fenerbahce do well, and a contract to "match", he's bound to have better leverage in future contract negotiations.
This thread should have been "James White plays like a turkey"
good for him, James White is my boy!
J!W invades Turkey.
You go boyee!

I hope they print the exclamation point after his name on his jersey![]()
So, now we know why he's not on a roster. He doesn't WANT to be in the NBA right now.![]()
So I guess he isn't going to be our savior.
Good for him, hope it works out.
That might just be the jersey I order.
I had high hopes for this kid last year with the Spurs. Hope he learns how to defend and develops his all-around game while playing over there. Good luck to him!
