Isn't the Omni in Northwest San Antonio a few miles from the practice facility?
Nevermind, they own the Mansion del Rio.

Jeff McDonald: Me and Ime
Earlier this week, we here at Courtside expressed the sincere hope that the two new guys at Camp Status Quo -- that would be me and Ime Udoka -- would be able to assimilate ourselves rather quickly into Spurs culture.
Three days in, I'm still learning a thing or two (Thursday, I got locked out of the media workroom at the practice facility after breaking for a Freebird's lunch).
We're happy to report that Udoka, however, seems to be doing just fine. He says he's fitting in well with his new teammates. He's learning his role and seems happy to compete for a spot coming off the bench, despite starting 75 games in Portland last year.
"I don't have a problem coming in and competing," Udoka said.
Off the court, Udoka says he hasn't had much time to explore his new hometown. For the moment, he's living in a downtown hotel. If nothing else, he has the route from there to the Spurs practice site down cold.
"I can get from the Omni Hotel to here," Udoka said.
Udoka is in the process of putting down more permanent roots here., going house hunting in his spare time. In the meantime, here's hoping Udoka has a chance to get out and experience more of what San Antonio has to offer.
Visit the Alamo. Eat some Mexican food. Stroll the River Walk.
And if he can get back into the practice facility when he's done, he'll be doing better than me.
