The hype from this game will make Dallas-New England look like nothing.
This is one sig bet where both parties involved look to have a good chance of embarrassing someone.
The terms are if the Pats win, you pick or make a pro-Pats/anti-Colts sig for me to display for the next week. Vice versa for a Colts win.
Do you accept?

Curiously, mono has not replied to this yet. Probably still too drunk from the Bad Karma Bowl today.
i accept. i'm gonna find the worst picture of Belichick possible for this one.
but for the record, i'm picking Indy to win. it will be down to the wire either way. and this game is just a warmup for the AFC Championship Game anyways.
shame on you brother.
How can you pick Indy???
so you can win in both cases. I'm sorry to say this, put you are being a vagina my friend.

i've said all along that Indy is #1 until somebody else proves it. The Patriots have a great shot at it this week but until they do it, I don't see how you don't pick Indy.
And if the Colts do win, I lose no matter what. I'll be sporting some gay avatar/sig with Peyton's re ed looking face, or whoever.
J.T. if you win this bet, please show me a little mercy and don't make me put up anything related to Dwight Freeney, who might very well be the most overrated human being ever.
u've got to be kidding me.
I agree with you showing respect to the champions, but picking them over your team who might go as the best team ever is just being a pussy.
Being a pats fan myself i had great understanding in you putting the colts #1. But to pick them to beat us shows that you have little confidence in your team and wants to back yourself up in case we lose.
There is no need to take the bet if you picked INDY.

how is that? being a pats fan you know that this game is borderline meaningless because we're going to be meeting up again in the AFC Championship Game. This game might decide which field that game gets played on, but even then either team could win it.
The Colts are the only team I have this type of respect for. Maybe I'm giving them too much respect, but like I said, until somebody proves otherwise, it's tough to pick against them.
This is far from the truth because like you said and again, this has nothing to do with you picking the colts. My problem is that from someone who's been talking , you owe it to JT to man up and pick the Pats. You also dissapoint me in the fact that I thought u understood football and clearly saw that the pats had an edge in this game.
Don't confuse respect and lack of trust in your team or lack of balls to live up to your talk.

clearly? explain that one.
you really put your ass out there during the entire CameraGate incident. you posted exactly zero times about it. that's showing some balls.
I'm more of a lurker than a poster (I come to this site alot, but don't have enough time to post and when I do, I'm lazy to post. And quite frankly I had nothing to say for what they did. I wanted everybody to forget about that as fast as possible and move on. And talking about it on the internet would've made it worse.)
I don't take pride in telling to the internet world how great my pats or spurs are, therefore i don't waste my time defending my team (on this board) when they break the rules.
My point was that if you talk about how great your team is, for the sake of your credibility you pick that team (even when in doubt).

I never thought I'd have to explain to a pats fan how this years' NEW ENGLAND had an edge against the colts.

Then, perhaps, you'll explain it to the Colts fans?
Indianapolis might be the only team they play this season that will actually score touchdowns when they have the ball. Any Patriots fan going into this week hoping to see another Bad Karma Bowl is deluding themselves. This will be a very close game.
The reason the Pats look head over heels better than the Colts is because the Colts are not blatantly trying to score 5 or more TDs a game. Say the Colts won a game 3-0 and Manning had three picks, the running game got shut down, and his receivers dropped some long passes. But the defense still did their job. A win is a win. To the Pats right now, a win is not a win unless it's a win by over 20 points. Belichick has always been a great coach when it comes to clock management and preserving a lead. He has abandoned what used to make him great and rather than preserving a lead, he wants to increase that lead to a anic height.
Today the Redskins didn't score until the ing end of the game. ing punt the ball if you're on 4th down. The Skins weren't doing , the Pats would get the ball back anyway. It's stupid to play starters an entire game. Why risk injuring Moss or Brady or anyone for that matter when you're playing Indy the next week? Some of the most classless and stupid coaching I've ever seen.
I bet it has something to do with how the offseason pickup of Adalius Thomas is the holy grail of getting Peyton Manning off the field. Both teams are on very equal footing, the Pats just look better because their coach is a and is playing NFL games like he's playing Madden 08.
why would I waste my time to convince you that the pats are better when the game is yet to be played. I don't have a problem with a colts fan rooting for them.
I don't like the nonsense talk of my team is better than yours when in fact we just have to wait this sunday to know it.(nothing of what I might say would make me feel better, make my team win or make you root for the pats.) Arguing over this might be clueless.
However, I was shocked I had to tell a pats fan to pick his own team.

If I were a defensive back of any team not named the Indianapolis Colts and had to face the Patriots this season, I would seriously start getting overly physical on their receivers even at the cost of penalties. If Belichick is going to play with a blatant disregard for good sportsmanship than opposing coaches should return the favor. I'm not wishing injuries on the Patriots but I would like to see Tom Brady get sacked and stay down for a while. If Belichick continues to play games like he's playing Madden, then his WRs, RBs, and QB deserve to get hit sticked like in Madden.
I think for the first five weeks opposing teams approached playing the Pats like a normal game. For a while they appeared to just be dominating and scoring a lot because they are a good team. Then in the Cowboys game they just started to throw sportsmanship out the window. I know "no lead is safe" in the NFL and the Pats certainly know that since the Colts beat them from an 18 point deficit last year. But a 38-0 lead in the third ing quarter. You can take that lead to the bank with so many Skins defensive players hurt in that game.
Opposing coaches need to return the favor. I just hope that Dungy does not approach this game with his typical "do what we do" approach. Belichick will be especially -like in this game because we blocked the Pats from a guaranteed Super Bowl last year. Not only will he continue his " you" streak to the NFL, this is a grudge match. Both of these teams are not the same teams that played in January. They're both a lot better. This is going to be a long week.
Word. It's the internet. No one will really care if you look stupid for one week.
No kidding. This town is going to be an absolute mess...I'm dreading going to work for the next several days.![]()
I think most teams go in to play hoping they can beat the pats.
having a gameplan like that (unecessary roughness penalties) might confuse your players and let them forget what their main goal is... winning the game.
Regarding the hard hits, it was the skins gameplan, which they executed (If you noticed there were some vicious hits).
I remember Welker saying that what he liked most about Tom Brady, was that he rarely puts his receivers in bad situations.

How many teams remaining on the Patriots' schedule other than the Colts even have a shot at winning a game? If Belichick is going to gameplan to blow out teams and run up the score, opposing defensive coordinators should be making sure his players pay for it.
