    Best man for the job. He is not the media darling that Mattingly is, but he knows what he is doing and is a proven winner. Ex catchers make the best managers, anyway.

    I think alot of the established vet players are going to follow ARod out of town. Girardi has a rep for taking players and aggressively whipping them in line to get the most out of them. I don't see that being very popular with vets like Posada, Pet e, Rivera, Clemens, etc.

    but they might actuallly win something if he gets them in line

    clemens is to old
    rivera wanted torre
    anyone else they got he would walk he is to old anyhow

    I'm not saying it's a great idea, but think how many compensation picks they would get if they just let EVERYONE walk this offseason. That's one way to build a farm system...
