Okay, since both office holders and their opponents are sometimes member (Reagan and the current Bush are not), can't this just be chalked up to coincidence?

If they are that powerful, how did Reagan and Bush II get elected?

...I believe Bush41 was in the Council of Foreign Relations....and Dubya is up to his ear in members of both Commissions, same for Reagan, and same for Nixon...in fact, many of the players in the current administration are just water-gate era holdovers, , they even tried to bring back Kissinger....till those damn liberals exposed him....

Coincidence? The vast majority of the presidential candidates listed in the article were CFR members, and even if they weren't, their administrations were loaded with them. This ain't no coincidence, my friends. It's on purpose.

And if anybody thinks something along the lines of: "Oh well, so what if the CFR has a massive influence on US policy?" then I would encourage you to start reading the CFR's magazine Foreign Affairs. It's issued every other month. I read it for about a year before I looked up from an article one day and realized what I had been reading over that year. I said to myself, "Oh my God, these people want a one world government."
