wow an HD DVD player for 98 bucks?
Rock on.
Got up early, went to Wal-Mart, stood in line and got a Acer5315 with
1 GB of memory and also was lucky enough to get a Toshiba HD DVD
player. Laptop was $348.00 and HD Player was 98.00. Really wasn't
that early. Got there at 8Am.

we saw that add here at work and were wondering what other specs were on the computer because it wasnt really saying anything else other then that it had one gig of ram
but how was it was it a long wait or did few people even kow about it....and are they ever going to do it again
Score!
Good choice. For what you use it for, it's all you need.
Specs: 1.73 ghz os
RAM: 1014
32 bit operating sys
CD/DVD RW combo
LAN card
Vista Home Basic
It is not a gaming PC by any means, but it is
a nice little rig. 15.4 screen.
I am sure left some stuff out. But will try and answer
any other info.
2 USB ports
How's that laptop holding up? I was considering getting one for my fiancee so we could sell the freakin 17" monster she's using right now.
After 8 hours I imagine it's holding up pretty well![]()
I got one too. The only problem so far is that it has Vista![]()
how was the crowds and will they ever do anything like this again
Well, it could be a poor build quality, or other types of problems that'd be noticable.![]()
New got my new?

my lil sister insisted on buying an acer desktop a few months ago for the increased memory over an emachine. It crashed within days. We took it back, to wal-mart, got a replacement, and the other one was crap as well. She opted for a compaq instead. Whatever floats her boat.
I hope it holds up!
