Only thing I would change is Rasho and Big Ben.
Okay, no in at anybody here, but what would your ideal team be 1-12? Must be comprised of current NBA players and you must meet logical salary cap restrictions.
Only thing I would change is Rasho and Big Ben.
Tony Parker
Vince Carter
Bruce Bowen
Tim Duncan
Boozer.
Start Horry next to Tim, bring Rasho off the bench to run the low post O while Tim rests.
Barry the first guard off the bench, and at least 15 minutes a game play Beno, Manu, and Barry together in the back court with Horry and TD up front.
Game, set, championship.
Duncan
Dalembert
Williams
Crawford
Alston
ok, since it's ideal NBA, and must be below the salary cap, im gonna go with...
Delfino-G
Manu-G
Nocioni-F
Duncan-F
Shaq(or Big Ben)-C
Oh, i see im not the only Sammy D fan here.
If I have to go outside the Spurs, gimme:
Duncan
BMiller
Bobby Simmons
Jamaal Crawford
Ben Gordon
Mine was a joke.
Dalembert is ok but he's going to get tremendously overpaid this summer.
Which williams are you talking about?
I find it funny that Vince Carter, Dalembert, Jamal Crawford, and Rafer alston are all mentioned when they have VERY questionable at udes and defensive will.
Swap Hoiberg for Barry, Darius Miles for Bowen and a Kato for Rasho and you'd be set. Your defensive is improved all the way around and Miles is a major upgrade offensively for Bowen.
Crawford would go nuts (in a good way) on the Spurs.
Anyone
Tim Duncan
Anyone
Anyone
Steve Nash
I could tell, but you dont know Sammy D, lol.
Dalembert is underrated, if he plays an average amount of minutes as a starter, he will average 4 blocks.
He can jump a million times in a row and at that millionth jump, he will jump just as high as his first.
I live in Philly, therefor i get all Sixers games. Sammy is underrated.
Has any player ever gotten as many bandwagon fans this late in their career as Steve Nash?
Dalembert is good at what he does, but the last couple of times I saw him he thought he was Kareem and played rather stupidly. If he gets his head on straight he'll be very, very good but it's still an "if" not a "when."
Always liked his game but he's completely proven he's one of THE catalysts for winning in the NBA. A lot of us predicted Dallas was losing big by letting him go.Has any player ever gotten as many bandwagon fans this late in their career as Steve Nash?
He would not be doing the same things in Dallas this year as he is in Phoenix.
He is still a huge defensive liability.
Nash is a straight up stud, but head to head Parker would kick his ass up and down the court.
Remember the playoffs?? Kerr > Nash.
If you let the run around and shoot wide open jumpers, he is one of the best shooters in the league, however, the Spurs have never allowed that, so let the boy get some stats against the other teams, the Spurs will still own him.
All you need with Nash is to not overuse him.
Trouble is, everyone does and he can never finish a season strong.
Sammy needs to mature first before i'd want him on an ideal team. You'd think just the POSSIBLITY of getting benched for Marc Jackson would conform you. Blocks don't make a great defender alone.
Tim Duncan
Tony Parker
Manu Ginobili
LeBron James
Big Ben
Bench:
Dwayne Wade
Carlos Arroyo
Boozer
Yao Ming
ANYONE
ANYONE
ANYONE
I believe this lineup leaves enough room to fill the remaining 3 spots....
the trick is to take advantage of rookie salaries.... (BTW Parker is still playing on his rookie contract)
WAY WAY WAY over the salary cap limit.
Duncan
Garnett
Sequ
S y (gotta have the old vet ;-) )
Vin Del Joto
Udrih
Vujacic
Nachbar
Duncan
Brezec or Rasho
This is almost Slovenian national team!
Just pull out Boozer and your OK.... I forgot he got an extension this year...
