Heard about this and thought it was an idiotic statement. It calls into question what goes through Phil Jacksons mind, not that theres anything wrong with that.

NEW YORK -- The NBA has spoken with the Los Angeles Lakers about a sexual reference coach Phil Jackson made in a comment following Tuesday night's game in San Antonio.
The Spurs made 13 3-pointers in their 107-92 victory, and Jackson was asked if too much penetration was leading to open outside shooters.
"We call this a 'Brokeback Mountain' game, because there's so much penetration and kickouts," Jackson said. "It was one of those games."

Typical. He hates losing to us, we have always tarnished his Lakers squad of the early 2000s and continue to do so.
What???
Phil must think this is 2001 if he still thinks the Spurs can't make an outside shot. Looks like he got outcoached.
Go drink a glass of milk or something, it'll be okay.![]()
I don't know about that...
I trying to figure out how you can make that statement. Phil Jackson only lost to the Spurs ONCE in the playoffs. Unless you're talking about regular season games.![]()
That comment by Phil Jackson was hysterical!![]()
99 we owned them
00-02 they owned us
03 we owned them
04![]()

05-and still going: we own them
They have been a pretty even rival through out these years.
so i wouldnt say we tarnished there team in the early 00s.
99, no Phil Jackson
05-still going on, you haven't faced Phil Jacksons teams.
not our fault you people can't get your asses to the Western Conference Finals. Its take two to tango my friend, and apparently you've forgotten the steps.
maybe so, but what does that have to do with the quote that the Spurs always tarnished his early 2000 lakers?
People are too sensitive.
thats a good point well made... can't say I get what he's talking about. Still we did win the le in 2003, 2005, and 2007 so in that sense, we owned everybody. Maybe that's what he was referring to![]()
I just can't quit you...
If anything, seems like Phil was knocking his own team rather than the spurs. I guess he ruffled some feathers with his brokeback reference.![]()
That's what it sounded like to me. When, as a team, you let yourself get manhandled ... the Brokeback reference doesn't come as much of a shock.![]()
Luckily, Phil was in San Antonio and not San Fransico.
This game obviously needs an asteric.

NBA: Jackson's remark in poor taste
NEW YORK (AP) -- The NBA has spoken with the Los Angeles Lakers about a sexual reference coach Phil Jackson made in a comment following Tuesday night's game in San Antonio.
The Spurs made 13 3-pointers in their 107-92 victory, and Jackson was asked if too much penetration was leading to open outside shooters.
"We call this a Brokeback Mountain game, because there's so much penetration and kickouts," Jackson said. "It was one of those games."
The 2005 film, which won three Oscars, depicts two cowboys who conceal their sexual affair.
"The remarks are in poor taste, and the Lakers have assured us such remarks will not occur in the future," league spokesman Brian McIntyre said.
"I don't care who ya are dats funny right derr"
