This Sage picked 63 wins and Spurs right on track with the plan to rest the starters last game with a 21 and 6 pace first 1/3 of season.

Significant accomplishment but will it be enough to ensure the 1 seed this year?

Time to put a spot on the Sun Spurs with a decisive win Tues to show the rest of the league they can be thumped.

It will take the same kind of defensive force as 2nd half vs. Wolves plus a better offensive output by Tim but it is going to happen.

Spurs will roll on as the consistent force of the league - the Sun will begin setting and finish with a still notable 59 wins or so positioning them as a very scary WC final opponent if they survive to that point (I think they are a year away).

Could the Mavs, Wolves or Kings put on a serious challenge with a massive run? Wolves just don't seem to have it but some serious depth - will come in with 55 or so wins. Dallas unless gets a real point will continue to struggle and come in with 53-54 wins.

I still see the Kings with one last run this year and see them continue to bring it together with 58 or so wins. Spurs to win seed by 3-5 games over Suns and Kings who fight it out for their division and 2nd seed.

The Suns are currently the best team, and repeatedly have won big games, come back from big deficits, held onto leads. Last night the Grizz had a better offensive game, and played the Suns pretty much even @PHX, but Suns still won it. But, it took the Suns' 5 starters 37+ minutes each to do it. The question: can the Suns' starters play 35+ minutes in the season and playoffs with little or no help from the bench?

Sonics are playing with enormous confidence and success. I can't see why they would fizzle. They sense the ring is within reach, and are going for it.

Spurs are fncking around too much, giving away games with lackadaisical quarters and halves, not playing defense for 48 minutes. No defense, no win, esp with other top teams having strong offenses this season. The NBA le is the Spurs' to lose, but do they want it enough?

The next 5 WC teams are very second tier, and inconsequential.

I can't see Kings finishing WC 2nd, even before Jackson, again, went out for 3 months. I think their loss last night to Heat was indicative. Kings aren't tough enough to hold onto leads. I don't think Adelman is enough of a coach to take them all the way.
