Surely he wasnt serious?
With about 8.2 seconds left I turned it to the Rockets' broadcast to see what they were saying and Matt Bullard spit out this gem.
"McGrady averages 30 points per game, so if you put that on top of the 84 the Rockets have scored tonight it would be a blowout."
I just had to shake my head and laugh.
Surely he wasnt serious?
Wow, he is ready to replace Mark Jackson at ABC
I was hoping he was joking, but he never laughed and neither did Bill Worrell.
I seriously can't believe I missed that.
How many games has the NBA played where one team is allowed six men on the floor for 48 minutes?
I'll go the other way. McGrady is shooting 47% for the season. The Rockets shot 50%+ tonight. So if Mac had played to his average, the Rockets would have actually scored less...
Ummm if Tmac plays the Rockets probably win....but who knows. The Rockets are not that good...Spurs should have won by 20+
thats why its an average of hi and los, he could have had a 57% clip tonight and 37% tomorrow and still avg 47%![]()
Rockets fans are worse than PHX when they lose. Regardless of who's the best, the Rockets are still, as they have been for the past 10 years, the 3RD best team in Texas!
The Houston broadcasters are by far the worst in the league. I know your home broadcasters are supposed to be biased for your team, but at least most of them can critique their team. Houston can do know wrong against any team in the league, and if the team is losing, it's because Yao can't buy a foul, or the other team used gamesmanship, or some other crap. They take a little too much of the Kool-aid. You want at least _some_ objectivity when you are watching the broadcast. Unfortunately, I am within range for Houston's FSN broadcast, so whenever I want to see basketball, I get to see their bullcrap for every single team they play.
The Rockets beat us earlier in the season... as did Dallas... so that means the Spurs want to avoid both of these powerhouses come playoff time![]()
So Phoenix winning by 10 is that much better then the Spurs by 6?
Shouldn't Phoenix have won by more then the Spurs then asshole?
I think the Rockets have a job for you in their broadcast booth!

My thoughts exactly.
Spurs fans are still feeling the residual of the Mavericks loss.
People, it took a psyche-crushing horrible loss for Suns fans to become the es they have become. This was a November loss. Cope.
Two words: Regular Season. Does everybody remember how important those two losses to the Cavaliers were last regular season once we hit the playoffs? It's pretty much the same thing with with the Mavs right now. Regular season play is not representative of potential playoff performance.
i think he addressed that with the second part of his post: cope.
so if the Rockets were shooting 50% for the game, and if McGrady, who averages 47% had played, they would have shot 97%!!!! WOW!!!!
