damn, say good bye to the repeat.
.756 to .745
What is going on???
damn, say good bye to the repeat.
Spurs bought the refs, so they are bothering to practice their free throws this year.
november
Oh, and Jim? They shot .751 last year as a team.
Bull . That number isn't much different from last year, and they'd probably be @77% if Parker hadn't regressed.
Maybe so, but Phoenix shot 81% last year. My point is, if SA beats Phoenix in FT shooting this year, they will win the WC, no doubt about it.
FTs cost SA at least 6 games last year, so it follows that if they can shoot a high percentage, they will not blow any close games, thus will have more wins than last year, which I think will be good enough to get HCA.
Jim, why the hangup about HCA in the West? The last two les, we've proved we don't need it. I'd say that goes double for PHO. With our record on their court in the 2003, 2005 and 2007 series, I'd RATHER start there, steal one, and put enormous pressure on a mentally fragile team.
In the last nine years, the Spurs won 4 les. Twice, they had HCA in the West. Twice, not.
Of the five years they were eliminated, they had HCA over their eliminating foe THREE TIMES: LA 2001, LA 2004, and Dallas 2006.
Home Court doesn't concern me like it used to.
This team plays well on the road.
Jim reverse jinxing the spurs. tell us the spurs have no shot![]()
I also prefer to start on their court. It's hard to win two games in a row against the Spurs when we play well on the road. That gives us a chance to close out in 5 or 6.
Jim, I would prefer to see A&M shooting 76% FTs.
DeAndre Jordan has to hit more than 20% sometime this year in order to do that.

I still like having HCA over not having it, especially in Finals where it is tough to win 3 straight at home in the 2-3-2 format.
Spurs are usually better when they have horrible FT shooting. Just a theory though.
I know. I have a theory on that, though: In high school gyms, there generally aren't fans behind the backboards and I bet that has become a distraction for him at the line in Reed. It's more difficult to focus on the rim with people back there and the pressure probably mounts with each miss. Must explain some reasons why he can make it in practice (no fans, just maroon seats) and not in the games.
