When we dubbed Jason Richardson "Mr. Average" this time last year, we posted a photo of him throwing one down against the Suns. Trailing the play is James Jones.

After conducting a survey of all 30 opening night rosters, we have determined this year's Mr. Average to be the same James Jones, now with the Blazers.

The average NBA player is 6'6.98" tall and weighs 221.00 pounds. Jones is 6'8" and weighs 220.

The average NBA player is 26 years and 11 months old and has 4.71 years of NBA experience. Jones turned 27 a few days after the season started and is in his fifth season.

Those numbers make Jones the man who closest resembles the average NBA player. Richardson (CHA) finished seventh in this year's calculations, behind Jones, Bostjan Nachbar (NJN), Jarvis Hayes (DET), Matt Barnes (GSW), Caron Butler (WAS) and David West (NOH).
