And as for Bonner?
When they play like they are now it's a thing of beauty to watch.
the best team that plays team ball...lol if that makes sense
Bonner looks good also....
As long as he sits in that chair. Doh!
No, seriously... this team is bad azz. They are taking care of bizness. They might win 70 games.
And Tony Parker better start getting some Best Player in the NBA run, or I am going to be pissed.
I said it kind of joking the other night but I've been thinking about it.
If Parker can keep his scoring up, his assists up, and the Spurs come out in the top 4, he may have a shot at regular season MVP.
Or at least be in the conversation.
tp better start allstar game
well the media already gave the MVP to Kevin Garnett
True.
But it's a long season.
Parker could at least be in the conversation.
I love the way Brent Barry is playing.
If this is indeed his last year, its a shame it took him 3 years to get this agressive.
Let's just be thankful he eventually did.
Yeah.
Im thankfull he has, but, what could've been in 06 if he would've been this agressive.....
Worried about Finley. He's lost his shot...shooting an astonishing 28% on the road, 36% all told.
I'm thinking that if Finley doesn't bring back his game, Udoka is going to replace him.
no chance we win 70, but this is the most joyous basketball to watch since, ever!
god I love the way the spurs play basketball! so cerebral, so clinical, I especially love it when they beat overly gifted athletes like Dwight Howard with their incessant execution, he can make athletic dunk after athletic dunk, he can dominate all he wants... AND IT DOESN'T MATTER.![]()
I'd rather see Finley struggle in November than in March and April. Still, you gotta think playing with Duncan would be a jump-shooter's dream.
If Duncan had a reliable outside threat to rely on from year to year, I think we'd be looking at more than 4 les.
It's a critical component IMO.
The Spurs are playing so well that Sequ is happy! Now that is saying something! GO SPURS GO!!!
Rememeber how great he was in the playoffs?Worried about Finley. He's lost his shot...shooting an astonishing 28% on the road, 36% all told
Go look at the November of that season.
I hope they wont trade for anyone who they consider will be playing a lot of minutes for the team. New guys tend to disrupt the system by being unfamiliar with it even if they have tons of talent. Rebuilding purposes would be a different story though.
Spurs are 11-2 while playing on autopilot. Part of that is the corporate knowledge on a roster with little turnover. Most other teams are still getting used to playing with one another.
They'll hit a rough patch around the new year, there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth, then in mid-February they'll start raising their game to get ready for the playoffs.
On the Tony Parker MVP talk, I don't think he'll get it. KG's gonna get it because, as of now, he's really helped turn things around at Boston.
Maybe TP will be in the top 5 candidates but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Love what I'm seeing on the court! So unselfish and methodical. So far so very good.Eventually we'll hit some tough spots but as well known around here - it's a marathon and not a sprint. Come the annual Rodeo Road trip they're start to kick it nto a higher gear preping for the playoffs.
