I agree. Prior to then after joining the NBA, GNob was on a World Champ (non NBA + NBA) team every year for a streak of like 8 years. In fact in the 20.04 disaster, GNob went on to le with Argentina.
But 4 of 6 will cement he and Spurs into All Time status. Right now we still have to be compared with the Lakers back to back* les.

not to downplay Manu's play but it is a bit misleading to put an amazing 4/6 or 3/5 record without mentioning that he was fortunate to be playing with Timmeh all those years.
