lol.....well there is no excuse for giving up 45 points a quarter...Golden state is ssuch a better team with their captain in the line up
You guys should check out opponents' field goal percentage, or points per possession to get an idea of why I think the Suns play D. The Suns allow 44.4% FG per game (the Spurs allow 45.9%). The Suns allow 102.4 points per 100 possessions. The Spurs allow 103.3. The Suns are 4th best in blocks (the Spurs are 23rd). The Suns are 5th best in steals (the Spurs are 20th).
Do I think the Suns play better defense? No, of course not. But stats don't lie, and the Suns have played some good D so far this season. Inconsistently good D.
The problem with your fluke statistics is that the Suns give up a whole lot more possessions so who cares.
45 points in 12 minutes is also a stat. Count that one in there.

45 minutes in 12 minutes is an isolated instance, not a trend. The Pacers scored 46 points in a quarter several nights ago, but it doesn't make them an offensive juggernaut.
The Spurs haven't given up 45 in a quarter because they allow fewer possessions, and they're more consistent on D.

Phoenix giving up 46 points in a quarter is horrible. It's the equivalent to the Spurs giving up back to back 30 point quarters to say a 4-9 team ... oh wait ...
