And things have been pretty damn good for Spurs fans for a long time now.
Duncan is in his 11th season. Things have been great in his era.
It's always good to put it in perspective.![]()
I was in Chicago earlier this week and had the opportunity to catch the Bulls-Hawks game at the United Center.
Wow.
First, I can see how it would be a great building for basketball if there was any being played, but right now describing what the Bulls are doing as basketball would be generous.
Despite the history of the place, I have to say I think the AT&T Center is a superior venue in almost every way. The AT&T's concourses make the United Center feel like the Erwin Center in Austin. And you are definitely closer to the court at the AT&T Center, especially on the upper level.
The funk the Bulls are in right now reminds me a lot of the Spurs in '99 before the Houston game where they started that amazing run. The team just isn't playing together. Granted nobody on the Bulls is as good as Duncan or Robinson was in '99, but they could be dangerous if they figured out how to play as a team. Heinrich looks terrible, he couldn't run the offense at all. (Bear in mind this was agianst a team that had it's top two point guards in street clothes.) Chris Duhon wound up playing the entire second half and managed to bring the Bulls back. Tyrus Thomas can dunk, but so far I can't tell what the difference is between him and Stromile Swift.
Nocioni is a madman. He just plays at a different energy level than anybody else - even Ben Wallace. It kills me that the Spurs missed out on him because of a scouting error.![]()
At any rate - any time this season that I start to feel down after a bad loss or two, I'll remember this trip and this game (Both teams struggled to hit 30 points by halftime), and realize that things are actually pretty damn good these days for Spurs fans.

I haven't been to the AT&T Center yet this season, but I recently heard that there's some sort of bluetooth or other wireless capabilities in the building where you can download Spurs wallpaper and things of that nature...
Does anyone have any info on how to access this? I live in LA, but make it home to see the Spurs frequently during the season. I'd love to know how it works.
Its good to be able to get the #1 draft pick when guys named David Robinson and Tim Duncan come out.
