The radio this morning just reported informal talks, did UA formally request permission to speak to him yet?

Rumor has it a deal is done and will be announced tomorrow.
I will not say anything for sure, but what is for sure is that Tubby's duck hunting trip back home in south Arkansas was actually him in north Arkansas talking money.

I think he's just leveraging other jobs to get what he wants from Auburn. If he goes to Arky then thats a good hire for them, but I see that as a lateral move at best for him.
That's the same thing that happened to John Pelphrey... lateral move from S. Alabama.

Nutt is taking 5 assistants with him, including OC David Lee. But DC Reggie Herring who is acting as HC for the Cotton Bowl, ( i assume ), isn't going.
Not saying he is our next HC, but I'm hearing Tubby was made a 2 year offer at a 2k increase on Auburn, and has about a week to decide.
Of course who really knows. Arkansas is talking to a lot of folks, including someone from USC not named Pete Carroll.
