To what can we attribute the low turnover rate the Spurs have been experiencing so far this season?

If the Spurs want to win the battle versus the Mavs on Wed, they'd BETTER take much better care of the ball this time than last.

As to your general question, I'd say familiarity with one another. Knowing where each other is supposed to be on the floor. Crisp passing, sharp cuts to the basket.

Yeah, it's all familiarity. This team knows one another, plays entirely without ego, and executes like a machine. Maybe the Spurs don't have the most talent going around (although they don't suffer a lack of it), but what sets them apart is that they are the best team in sports.

Two other points to consider is that:
    1) Tim is normally the TO king for the Spurs in their hub-and-spoke offense, but the Spurs have used more motion offense and less low post offense thusfar. The Spurs are a little less predictable and Tim is less of a target with TP and Manu playing in such dominant fashion.
    2) Tony Parker has dramatically improved his assist/TO ratio. In 2007-08, Tony currently has a ratio of 3.27 (7.1 APG/2.17 TO) and in 2006-07, TP's A/TO ratio was only 2.2 (5.5 APG/2.48 TO). Francisco Elson is also playing fewer minutes .
