Jeff McDonald: Ginobili out, too?
In all the hysteria over the state of Tim Duncan's right knee and ankle, an injury to another Spurs star seems to have fallen to the back burner on the list of "Things For Spurs Fans to Lose Sleep Over."
But there remains a chance Manu Ginobili's sore left index finger could keep him out of Wednesday's game against Dallas, too. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich says Ginobili's availability against the Mavericks will be a game-time decision.
"I honestly don't know," Popovich said when asked of Ginobili's status after practice Tuesday afternoon. "If there was a game today, he wouldn't play. We'll have to see how he feels when the game comes."
Ginobili was injured in Sunday's game against Portland, when he went airborne for a layup over Portland's James Jones and crashed to the floor. He remained in the game, wearing a bandage on the finger for the remainder of the afternoon.
There is no serious damage to Ginobili's finger. It simply remains sore.
Jones, incidentally, was the same Trail Blazer who tangled with Duncan, precipitating the fall that sprained Duncan's ankle. It could be that Jones is single-handedly responsible for the Spurs being without two-thirds of their Big Three for the Dallas game. Avery Johnson ought to send him a fruit basket.![]()
Our guess? Ginobili probably plays against the Mavs. Keep in mind, however, that we are neither doctors, nor do we play one on TV.
And the trolls would still be here talking if they win.
suckers
The trolls, maybe. The realists won't talk .
Ess time-uh to wrap-uh da bandage!!!
December - time to give gifts to the rest of the leauge
Ginobili will play even in one hand vs the Mavs, His right hand actually.
Let Manu rest... i think Pop will play conservative on this one
Suns sleeper cell?
This has probably been discussed but I was just curious as to what happened when Finley pushed Jones and picked up a T? What did Jones do?
Well...said poland

Another continuing episode of the long-running, spy thriller series en led, "CIA Pop"
Better to be hurt early rather than late. If that could only come true.
If Manu doesn't play we are going to be slaughtered.
I don't care as long as Mark Cuban doesn't squawk like a chicken and make excuses like the idiot Phoenix Suns owner did the last time both Tim and Manu were both outAnd the trolls would still be here talking if they win.
suckers![]()
. Honestly it's still early on in the season. Better to rest them now then to have something happen around the playoffs.
Playing the Mavs without Tim or Manu... yeah, I wonder what the result will be...
Mavs is consistently losing to weak teams this season. We will win this!
I will laugh when tp leads the spurs by the mavs
that would be sweet
most likely not happen but would be funny
Parker will go down soon too. Beasley in 2008![]()
I wouldn't mind seeing Bruce and Ime on the court at the same time alot vs. the Mavs in a small ball lineup, just to see how it might work down the road.
