New England Patriots - 2007 Ratings Champs!![]()

This morning on Mike and Mike they were talking about how the Patriots ratings are off the chart because this is the best football team ever and everyone is excited about them possibly going undefeated. Why don't people get this? The reason most people watch the Patriots is because they hate them and they want them to lose. I know that's why I watch. They also mentioned that everyone plays against the patriots with a chip on their shoulder because every team feels like that's their Superbowl. I would guess that it would be because they got caught cheating at the beginning of the year and they are undefeated. That would be enough reason for me to want to take someones head off.
I agree with this dude. Lord knows I spend all 60 minutes of Pats games hoping they lose and hoping to see Brady go down for the season.
why does anybody care if the Patriots lose a game? isn't it to be expected?
all i hear on these boards is how overrated the Pats are, how Brady isn't that good, how Moss is a pussy, how Welker is a fluke, how the defense is overrated and sucks. Since they suck so bad, everyone should fully expect them to lose, right?
so what's the big deal?
On that note, I just want to say...
1. The Pats are a fluke
2. The Pats are overrated
3. Brady isn't really even that good
4. Welker is a midget, I mean a fluke
5. Pats defense is overrated and sucks
Did I forget anything? Oh yeah...
6. Moss is a gigantic poon.
can't the Pats be the best team ever and still be hated and watched in hopes they lose? btw, the Pats are the best team ever and i thinks its hilarious everyone hates them so...ridiculous.
Who's saying Brady isn't that good? Most people think he's an arrogant bag, like every man on the Patriots roster right now. ing Patriots blow out a team and then go in front of the press and say "We still have to get better. We had 2 false starts today and that's unacceptable" like they are ing above a false start. Most people hate the Patriots because that entire team is acting like a bunch of s right now. Any record they break, they don't deserve.
if that's so then why obssess over them?
Just watch one of their games, Tom Brady is becoming the Tim Duncan of the NFL when it comes to ing to the refs. "They're pushing around my receivers! I almost broke a nail! Throw the damn flag !"
this is one of the stupidest posts i have ever read. don't the Spurs say the same thing when they beat a quality opponent? don't the Spurs strive for perfection? doesn't Pop demand it?
i love the double standard on this board...you guys are complete morons.
That's actually irritating the out of me. The way Brady & his receivers keep ing about physical play on them is pretty stupid. The Patriots perfected physical play from the corners on the other team's WR's. Deion Branch & David Givens got the same treatment but instead of crying about it, they beat the physical coverage and got open. All this ing and crying about physical coverage makes Brady & Moss look like Manning & Harrison.
Gregg Popovich doesn't go in front of the press and say "We've played against better point guards, I'll tell you that much". Tim Duncan wouldn't say "I saw Avery Johnson calling for time out, otherwise I would have made that bank shot." This season the Pats are being nothing but s. I expected it from Belichick but not the entire ing roster. I can't wait for the Colts to rip their hearts out.
nobody is guaranteeing victory against the Spurs, though. these 2 sports are vastly different animals and you can't compare the 2. one is predicated on physicality and one is not.
frankly, i like the Pats at ude...i like that they want to crush teams and are confident and unapologetic about it. thats the way it should be.
i'm a Saints fan, not a Pats fan....but man do i respect them. and all this cheating crap has got to stop, it obviously didn't matter...the Pats are beating everyone anyway.
oh yeah, and the colts cannot beat the Pats in New England...i'll bet you.
If you seriously want to bet on this, I'll bet you one thousand dollars that the Colts kick their ass in Foxborough.
I'm just playin' with ya mono.
Seriously, why do people think they can't win in Foxborough. The Colts won a Super Bowl in the rain, owned Baltimore while committing zero turnovers in a cold rain game on Sunday... NE plays on turf now so they can't up the field in their favor again...
Colts going to shock a lot of people in January.
so you'd have no problem betting $100 then, and if you want to you're on. just PM me and i'll get back to you. while i could bet you a $1,000, if for some reason the Pats lost i wouldn't be happy about paying you that much. there's a difference between willing and able.
$100 is cool with me. You're on.
If the Pats don't lose a regular season game then they will lose one in the playoffs. The media pressure will be crazy. As seasoned as they are I don't think they will be able to handle it.
What they won't be able to handle is a healthy Colts team. They beat an injured Colts team by 4... no Harrison... Gonzalez leaves the game with a broken thumb... Clark gets a concussion. I think the recent weeks proves how much better the Colts are when Peyton has more than just Reggie and the Backup Singers to throw to.
Addai owned the Patriots too. Expect a repeat performance.
imo, the Pats played one of their worst games of the season against the Colts in Indy and still won. so, even with Harrison and whomever i think New England handles Indy at home by 2 TDs. we'll see...
plus the game in Foxboro probably won't be ruined by the refs giving the Colts every call.
The Colts offense with Reggie Wayne as the primary receiver and the likes of Aaron Moorehead, Bryan Fletcher and Ben Utecht isn't going to do against the Patriots. With a reduced offense like that, a defense knows that if you take away Reggie, Peyton has a bunch of scrubs to throw to and isn't going to put up his usual numbers...
Now, they get Harrison, Clark and Gonzalez back for the rematch... that spreads the offense with two deep threats and two threats in the middle. Peyton can run the 4WR set and 3WR bunch he was working on early in the season again. It's an extreme underestimation to say by having his full complement of wideouts that he does not throw a much better game than he did. The Atlanta Falcons have a better passing offense than what Peyton was working with by the end of the NE game.
It could be ruined by the Colts picking off Brady four times as they did the last time they played there.
I have to agree. This year, Brady has really acted like a total arrogant bag. Not just on the field, but in interviews after games. Pats fans like Mono will probably say "he has 3 rings, so he can act however he wants." But just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. There are plenty of great players that didn't act like total whiny s just because they had accomplished careers.
