dude, you stole my thread.
seriously though i am trying to figure out what they are up to. it doesn;t even lok like the players know what they are doing. this is really, really ugly ball. dont fire pop though.
WTF?
Bonner was having the game of his life, we were up nicely...
And then small ball into an 11 point deficit?
Small ball must never be played against the Warriors again, and if it is Pop should fired...this is awful.

It didn't take long for this thread to get started tonight!
The only thing I can guess is that Pop wanted to see if they could work out some of their smallball issues (like lack of D) or what. And the Warriors make a good target for that, because they are such a freak team.
Or, mentioned elsewhere, Pop doesn't really give a and wants to make sure he doesn't have to coach the ASG.
What the was Pop thinking?
It's bull if he is really throwing some games to not have to coach ASG.
It's funny to say, and definitely believable that Pop would do it, but we need Home Court![]()
I KNOW. OMG. 17 and 4! WE SUCK. POP IS CLUELESS. THE SINGLE REGULAR SEASON LOSS WILL DOOM US ALL.
Pop really needs to get his act together if he's going to get this team to the playoffs. Stupid idiot.
Pop 'broke' something that was already 'fixed'. Why bring in the cold shooting Manu and Tony when the bench was getting the job done? I just don't understand it.
They cut the lead from 20 to 12 points. Then Pop decides to bring in Manu and Tony, and that just killed them. What gives?
Advise of the night: Never fix something that is not broken
Nobody's perfect... no team's perfect!
So we lost ? I turned it off in the 2nd quarter. They were making Christmas cookies on the Food Network.
Also, Udoka was applying masterful full court or 3/4 court defense, THE ENTIRE FOURTH QUARTER, which was combined with Bonner Offense and Rebounds to provide an excellent run.
Udoka was pulled after the timeout and we floundered.
we have a "fire pop" thread already, now, who's going to start a "Trade Manu or TP?" thread?
@ the coaches in here giving their "insight" I love it.
Really tho, I was surprised Pop brought back Manu and Parker, after it was obvious they ate some bad barbacoa.
The subs got the lead down...let em try and win it.
Other than that, props to Bonner.
No big deal. I guessed the Spurs would go 8-4 in December before Duncan got hurt and they're on pace to beat that without him. This isn't a step back, isn't a horrendous coaching error worthy of termination, isn't a sign of anything except that just about everyone except Bonner and Vaughn played like in this one game. Manu was due for a bad outing and had one tonight.
Spurs just couldn't execute, and the perimeter defense was deplorable. I wouldn't blame it on Pop.

CAN I START A "BRING BACK BOB HILL!!" THREAD?

Haven't we been down this road before?
Fire Pop? Oh, that's right! We've only won 17 games out of 21. Geez, that's only 81%.
Yup. Fire Pop? How imperfect of him!
DON'T YOU JUST LOVE IT![]()
i dont think anyone here realizes exactly how far ahead of the curve pop is.... he sees the game changing so he has shaped a roster and a style of play that can adapt to anything... yeah sometimes small ball doesn't work, but who gives a , i think pop is waiting for a guy athletic like Ian to develop enough to be combo forward for this team... i dont know if Ian is that guy, but someone along those lines-- jump out of the gym, plays good D at that basket but can keep up with some of the smaller guys
