On Thursday, a friend of the victim's son said he was going to commit a drive-by at the home.

i would say that the shooter(s) are the dumb ones. She got wind that there was going to be an attack on her home so she laid in wait. Should she have waited inside? what she should have done is either not stay at the home at all that night or called the police, or both. She is definitely dumb, but not for the reason you people are giving.
