+/- Stat is confusing.
Maggette was a -9 and Kobe was a +32, but both had the exact type of game in the exact type of minutes. Only difference as Kobe scored 5 more points and 3 more assists, but Maggette had 6 steals and fewer TO's. The +/- sounds like an "iffy" stat.
Personally, I didn't say he was washed up, done, or any other adjective depicting that he was useless.
When I made the thread about starting Barry, I was aiming for a shake-up to jolt him back into playing well or at least to reward the best performing players with additional playing time (i.e. Barry).
FWIW, I'm glad to see Finley doing well....but it should be noted that his latest streak began when he came off the bench for one game....
