Traitor Joe, shows his true colors again ...

    That's the ticket!

    Satan just smiled a little

    Lieberman Endorses John McCain...

Senator John McCain is having a great week: first two important newspaper endorse him, now Senator Joe Lieberman - the independent - does so as well. Several bloggers / experts such as James Joyner, Roger L. Simon and Marc Ambinder believe that this means that McCain is back.

The Republican race becomes increasingly exciting. Many people - including myself - had declared McCain’s campaign dead a couple of months ago. It now seems, however, that McCain may very well become the comeback kid.

I'm a JFK Democrat like lieberman and I don't why more of us, and there are plenty of us, don't come out and say so. Yes, the democratic party since the Reagan years has been perceived, as weak on defense. Did they forget the words of JFK?

    From JFK"s Inagural Address:

We observe today not a victory of party but a celebration of freedom-symbolizing an end as well as a beginning-signifying renewal as well as change. For I have sworn before you and Almighty God the same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three-quarters ago.

The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe-the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God.

We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans-born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage-and unwilling to witness to or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This is what real democrats believe.

Traitor Joe. You got to be kiddin. The dimm-o-crap party left
him and run someone else against him. And Joe is the
traitor. Only dan could come up with that.

Yep Joe, JFK could never be a Democrat in todays world. He
would have to be a Republican.

I disagree. JFK could not be a republican just as I cannot. Maybe forced to run as an independent like Joe Lieberman but he would never run as a republican.

JFK is closer to a Republican than an Independent. Tax cuts.
I didn't agree with all of JFK ideas, especially appointing his
brother to be AG. He was in the same group as many
Republicans now days. Remember I said Republicans, not
conservatives. There are many Republicans that are not
conservative, but lean to the liberal side of politics. George
    Bush being one of them.

McCain is road kill, so Lieberman's endorsement is superfluous kiss-of-death.

McCain's unrestricted support for the bogus Iraq war already killed him last year when a vast majority of US was already against the war and dubya/ head.

There are also many democrats who are not liberals. I have many conservative points of view but I'm no republican. Some things, IMO, are not simply conservative or liberal or republican or democrat but American values. That is why I like Obama.

I do like McCain though. I could vote for him over any of the other republican candidates. Easily.

So, quick recap - that's Iran, Iraq, Enron, the Economy, and Daschle, and one of those Koreas. They all form a terrible Axis of Evil, standing in the way of all that we as Americans value.

And don't forget France. The French don't like me saying "Axis of Evil", so guess what? They're now a part of the very same Axis of Evil that they don't like me saying. How do you like them apples, France? Next time, you keep your mouth shut. You mess with Texas, and it's straight to the Axis of Evil, got it?

Germany, Italy, Japan - they were the original Axis of Evil. Maybe they thought I would forget, but I didn't. They're back in!

He stood strong and avoided nuclear war. He also started the Peace Corps, hme made gains on civil rights, and his support fo the USA's space program got us to the moon. I'm very proud to be a JFK supporter. But that is just me.

JFK got us to the moon. He gave the country a purpose, and we acheived it. For that alone, I'd rate him high. Nobody has done anything like that since.

JFK also seriously cut tax rates. Was very pro-business. 2 more points for him.

Bay of Pigs and the first major increase in troop strength in Nam were also his.

    Nobody's perfect.

JFK would be more aligned with Republicans today than Democrats. Tho, I agree, he'd still prolly be a democrat. And if they're were more democrats like him...mebbe I would be too.

Democrat party today is an actual disgrace, much like JFK's brother, Teddy. I don't think it would be if people like JFK and Lieberman were running it.

"Ich bin ein Berliner" still gives me chills, but apparently he botched the German horribly.

    What...

Joe's not a traitor, he's one of the few true democrats left. The rest of them have been bought out by liberal and socialistic special interest groups.

Move-On openly claims to own the democrat party!

It is Move-On that helped defeat Liberman in the primaries!
