Scary.
I've been through 2 lockdowns with my high schooler, both bomb threats from inside the school.
It is not fun.

never had one of those with my kids...but had a few like this...stuff happening outside the school...
radio reporting it again...still no links from local news...
2 cars shooting outside of school...police looking for suspects...
What frightened me in the bomb threat lockdowns was the threat was from inside the school but the police chose to keep the kids in rather than evacuate the building.
They brought the bomb sniffing dogs in, thankfully both times were just threats, nothing happened.
But I had a hard time understanding "shelter in place" when the threat was inside.
The police told me they didn't want to risk an evacuation in case there was a shooter outside and the threat had been made so they would get the building empty.
Tough call for the cops, but it was tough as a parent waiting out those long hours.
