I see everybody comparing out championship teams from 2003-2007 to the 90s Bulls. But I think it would better serve out interest to compare ourselves to the Lakers of the early 2000s.
We all know LA pretty much owned us during their run but the Spurs teams from 2003-present are much better and I think could have beaten the shaq-kobe era lakers in their prime. So let's ask.
2003 Spurs vs 2000 Lakers
2005 Spurs vs 2001 Lakers
2007 Spurs vs 2002 Lakers
I think the 2003 and 2007 Spurs would take their series against those Laker teams but our 05 team could easily lose. That 01 Laker team just demolished anyone they played in the playoffs including our 01 team in that humilliating series.
What do you folks think? Who is the franchise of the new millenium so far?

The millenium didn't begin until the year 2001. Therefore, 3-2, we win.
Our '05 team had plenty of big men (Rasho; Nazr; TMass). I think they were well equipped to battle the '01 Lakers. Plus we had plenty of three point shooting. And you throw in the athleticism of Parker and Ginobili and the Spurs win in six or seven.
