Im not surprised at all, but I hope she has somebody to manage her spending habits or she will be broke real quick.
She'll marry some rich dude and be alright.
Props to her grandad for doing something worthwhile with that money instead of giving it to his spoiled ty and stupid grandaughter...who would no doubt squander that money in the most wasteful and useless way possible...I'm sure he loves her and this is probably a hard decision for him to make...but that much money can accomplish a great many things...unless Paris is the one that gets hold of it.
5 mil(probably a lot more than that) is enough for her to continue doing coke, jetsetting and going to parties for the rest of her life...which are the only things she does. If it's not enough...she can always pose for Playboy and keep making the most awful movies ever made.
She'll always be able to make money as long as the American public continues to obsess over her and her kind.
it's the american way!!!
grandpappy's just trying to get to heaven...dumbass didn't read the fine print about giving it away before your dead...
and for the record, i personally tear up a bit for the starving kids around the world when i buy a six and some smoke...but i'm sure i'm in the minority!
Absolutely the best news I've read in weeks![]()
Now she'll learn what living as a normal person is like, which is to say, not all fun and games... and booze... and drugs... and making porn... etc.
A normal person with 5 million dollars?
The money you spend on beer and smoke? That's about how much a billion dollars earns in a typical savings account...per 2 seconds.
I know you somehow were hoping Paris Hilton would read your post and you might get lucky...but seriously...
Paris can easily make hundreds of thousands doing what she does best- go out and party, so I doubt this is going to affect her much anyway. We'll probably see even more of her now.
If that's possible.
Like she ever buys her own drinks and blow anyway.
For everything else, she's actually created (or had people create for her) several lines of income that are available because of who she is, but which will persist despite this decision by her grandfather. It's not as if Paris Hilton is ever going to be poor.
With that, it's still a laudable decision by Barron Hilton.
As long as she has a mouth and less than 3 STD's she'll end up with someone who will be dumb and rich enough to support her.
Or she could just marry some old fart on his death bed.
If she's smart she can still live a pretty lavish lifestyle off of the money left to her. Off her name alone she should be able to still get gigs. But have 5mil and maybe less after taxes verses 100 mil is quite a bit of difference. For us thats plenty, but for a person like her thats probably considered an insult.
Paris and her sister Nicky are making a quarter mil a piece to party at a Vegas club (LAX) this New Years Eve.
I did the math and I figured she would get about $23 million. I took 3% of 2.3 billion and divided that 3% by 3 assuming she would get an equal share of whatever her dad and sister got (which I am probably wrong). If she just put $20,000,000 in the bank and just put it in a normal savings account at 3%, she would make around $600,000 a year in intrest, still more than any of us would ever make in a year.
Also, I think that trusts are not taxed when given to the first next of kin (like the first cycle). I remember Warren Buffet saying that his kids should be taxed when he dies, but right now they wouldn't stand to be taxed. I might be wrong, but I think Paris's kids will have to pay tax on whatever is left over from her grandfater's trust should they claim any money from it. I think the reason for this is because her grandfather has already paid taxes on this money before he put it in there(like the concept of a Roth IRA), and probably pays the taxes each year he is alive on the intrest the trust makes. If they taxed her, it would be taxing it twice. I could be wrong on all this because I'm not a lawyer, I'm just in business grad school and have alot to learn.
That is a good observation and makes sense. I haven't a clue on how all that works... Good research.![]()
FIFY.
Big deal. She still makes 10s of millions of dollars a year from being Paris.
America's obsession with celebrities is more pathetic than Paris Hilton could ever be.
I love it when people about Anna Nicole Smith being an idiot and they wonder why she is on TV all the time, yet they spend time talking about someone they never met and don't know. This asshole I work with (florige the guy I told you about before) is so caught up in the news every day that he would sit by the TV an watch Fox News all day after Anna Nicole Smith died. He would come in and give us updates as-if we gave a , but he kept saying one thing that I found ironic, "Why is this on TV? who cares about her, she is an idiot"... now, I find this statement funny because a) the guy who said this is 10x more the idiot than Anna Nicole was but b) because she is a star because people like him talk about her and people like him watch and comment on her stories when they put them on TV. God I hate that guy![]()

I am really amazed. Pops Hilton announced a long tome ago that Paris would not get the inheritance. This is just expanding a little on some pretty old news. Didn’t you guys already know this?
Yeah I'm pretty sure I wrote it down somewhere but I can't seem to find it in my file of gossip logs.
