Is 2k8 that much better that 2k7? how does it compare to live08?
yeah, it is 10 times better than both 2k7 and live 08.

It's definitely better than NBA Live, but 2k Series HAS to work on the atrocious layups factor in the game. It's almost impossible to hit a layup in traffic and the players do all kinds of awkward/fancy drives to the hoop when a simple scoop shot would do.
The defense "lockdown" system they've implemented nearly kills the game. There is no way in the world Brent Barry should be able to lock down Tracy McGrady full court simply by holding down a button.
I think the graphics are better, and I love how each player shoots differently, but I actually thought 2K8 to be somewhat disappointing after repeated games because there isn't as much of a difference as you would hope, coupled with a lot of kinks that need to be worked out.
