I think Limp Bizkit has gotten the Vanilla Ice treatment. Everyone loved them back in the day but now they're treated like lepers. Nobody will admit it but we all used to like them a little bit. In 10 years, people will play the song "Nookie" in a playfully ironic way, much like we do with Ice Ice Baby now.

i used to think Wes Borland was super badass with his makeup and costumes and such.
and actually everyone in the band were pretty decent musicians, they just got dragged down by the Master Of Suckage and probably the worst frontman in rock history, Fred Durst.
I think I liked, maybe, one of their songs. It was one of the slower ones.
I never for one moment liked "Nookie." And it was the overexposure of this kind of crap that finally pushed me completely away from listening to music on radio stations.
First CD was solid, the sound and intensity was a bit more raw and less contrived. Wes gave the band a personality that worked and the guy is flat out talented. They hit the sceen at just the right time when Korn was coming up and setting the foundation for Rock, Rap, Metal all in one type of sound so the base audience was right for the taking. I like what Wes is doing now and his music is still pretty solid even if he has to do the vocals himself. They just did what anybody would do and completely sell out for money and exposure, I can't blame them for that. Too bad we couldn't have at least got 3 or 4 solid pieces of work out them.
Counterfeit and Stuck are still two of my two most favorite songs.
they might still be popular today if somebody in the band had to balls to tell Fred Durst to tone it down. I think most of the Limp Bizkit hate we see today isn't because of their music, it's cuz that guy was such a ing bag.
I still love that song on Chocolate Starfish where Fred think he's rapping by rhyming " " with " ".
I haven't heard anything he's done except for Big Dumb Face, which I actually liked alot.
Counterfeit was the .
And as for Fred, he did get pretty annoying after a while, but I'll still have some respect for him after he directed KoRn's video "Falling Away From Me". Love it.
I never liked them. Not even one little bit.

The only thing I would have liked about these guys is if they had scheduled that video shoot on the WTC buildings for the morning of September 11, 2001.
I used to listen to that stuff before intermural games. It may not be good music but it got the blood flowing and helped me play through a couple of hangovers on Sunday mornings.
Sarcasm at its finest.
Black Light Burns was much better check that out somewhat of a heavier NIN and Wes does the vocals.

I have a need
are 4 songs that come to mind that I really like. I'm ok with Big Dumb Face but its a bit stupid at times.
The One was my favorite Limp Bizkit song.![]()
I'll admit when I was younger I liked them...but note the fact that I say younger. I was a 10 year old bag when they were hot and I didn't know better.
Back to Basics nailed it. 3 dollah bill, ya'll was pretty in cool, and I still jam out to Counterfeit to this day. Significant Other had some very catchy tunes but it was contrived and too mainstream, they were complete after that.
Introducing the Chocolate starfish and the hotdawg flavored water! Bring it on!

I had their Significant Other CD, but I downloaded the Chocolate Starfish off of Napster.
I don't know if it is just me, but the band name always made me hungry.
