Nobody has ever felt any reason to believe these 2 teams would meet in the Finals, me included. Unbelievable.

The Mavs have had our number in the regular season when we matchup. Their depth has hurt us in the past, this is the first time since 2004 where we actually have good enough depth to nullify that a little bit.

They just play a style that the Pistons don't match up well against. Hopefully that will change now, we do play a bit differently this year than we have the last few years because of our bench.

And two years ago, when the Pistons were off to that great start, the Mavs were the first to beat them, by something like 30 points. We play well against the Pistons, their overall talent does not create matchup problems against us.

yes we did beat them last year in DET but you must remember the Pistons had no Chauncey Billups in the lineup.....
