Cool Arrows is a nice family joint.
I only like to hang out at the upscale joints that Batman hangs out at, the ones that have dress codes and a minimum mojito purchase requirement.

I know theres a great cigar martini bar downtown.
I've always been curious of the good places to go here.
Never hung with the "clubbing" crowd, and was always wanting to give it a shot.

best places are the small, maybe run down, less trendy, and usually cheap bars. like coco beach! San Antonio bar scene isn't bad, but i'm not a fan of San Antonio's "trendy" bars...their usually overpriced, too loud, and not really any fun. ...its San Antonio, not LA.
I've been to Coco Beach, it's $2.25 for a beer during happy hour. That's kind of high, for happy hour.
It's not like it's a fancy, classy place or anything.

eg. Oak Hills Tavern. I'll always love that place.
i moved from San Antonio over a year ago, so i couldn't tell you what i used to pay, but $2.25 is pretty good. i want to say i paid around $2, maybe even less and i knew a couple of the bartenders and some of the regulars so that was nice. i probably only went there about 2 times a month, but i always had a good time. coco beach is more my kind of bar, i am not a big fan of nicer bars...except flying saucer and lion an rose (on broadway) and that was b/c they weren't too crowded and had good beer...plus, lion and rose had setanta sports. i like cheap dirty run down bars...for the most part.
after i left LA the club scene, imo, was not worth the hassle...you've got all the at ude in a pretend/fake club without the normal amount of hot girls. not worth my time or money...i just don't like clubs in Texas.
if you want hot girls go to cowboys dance hall, say what you will about that place but there is almost always good looking women there...at least i thought so. i never saw nearly the amount of good looking girls anywhere as i did at cowboys. i think some of the beer tub chicks were pretty hot too....?
...or you could just go to Austin.
Anyone been to Graham Central Station, it's on Fredericksburg RD and 410? How is that place.
I also heard about Jack Rabbits and Madison Ave on Bab . Cowboys Dance Hall, I'll check that place out.
I don't "club", per se, but Bombay on Fredericksburg, Bab Bar, Oak Hills Tavern is ok....as far as Graham Central Station...meh, I personally wouldn't step foot in there. Cowboys is probably pretty good if you're looking to find a hot girl.
edited to add: Houlihans on 1604 near Blanco is always packed and Passion in the Vineyards on 1604 is pretty nice. Pricey, but nice.
