Do you think spurs should consider getting shane battier sometime in the future?
Help me with this one guys. In my opinion, shane is the next best thing for a bruce bowen. His a small forward that can defend and play mulitple position. Can shoot accurately from the outside and can scap for loose balls.
He has done many good things for houston, and at one time was included in their starting 5. I would have loved the spurs to get him, just before bowen decides to retire so he can be Pop's next perimeter defender.
i know houston offered his a lengthy contract, but If the spurs has the opportunity for a trade, I would say "go for it".

battier is a very fine player that most every team in the league would like to have (very good performance per cost player). problem is houston wont be moving him. not to us, and not at the price we could/would offer. we simply dont have the pieces to swing it.

no. but i'd like THE shane battier on the roster.
if a shane battier is that good, maybe the spurs should get 2 more.
Yes, I agree. I just hate the way people add that superfluous "a" before people's names.
It should read "do you want Shane Battier?", not "do you want a Shane Battier?" because he's not talking about a type of player, but a specific player.

but not the bowen replacement

Yes, of course. Shane is very good playuer who, I think will be excellent in Pop's system. Trade for him and CP3, and with Manu & Timmy we instantly have (no matter who ellse we have) undisputed NBA champ team for next 5 years
if you have only one shane battier, that shane battier would be lonely.
get two, and the shane battiers will fight leaving you no peace.
now three. three is a perfect number. two shane battiers will keep each occupied while the other makes you happy.
No. Shane Battier has ripples in his head.
