I'm not sure the Spurs are "just where they want to be" but they aren't in any danger of missing the playoffs.
The best point made here is that the Spurs usually have a ten man rotation. If Udoka gains Pop's confidence enough to get some minutes, and Horry gets out of his slump, they will be deep enough to compete on a high level.
The 'kids' were worth a look, but probably never really figured into Pop's plans for the playoffs unless one of them had a real breakout. That never happened.
