(I figure this is a ducks question)

Does anyone know the 2005 Draft Order, at least for the non-playoff teams? I know SF is #1

  2. #2
My guess - if it's directly by league standings only and not knowing any trades or things like that...

    SF
    Cleveland
    Miami
    Tampa Bay
    Oakland
    Tennessee
    Chicago
    Dallas
    Detroit
    Washington
    Arizona
    NYG
    Carolina
    KC
    Houston
    Minnesota
    St. Louis
    New Orleans
    Cincy
    Seattle
    Buffalo
    Jacksonville
    Baltimore
    Green Bay
    NYJ
    Denver
    Atlanta
    Indy
    San Diego
    Philly
    New England
    Pittsburgh

I think you are correct but Dallas would be after Washington since they have the tie breaker of head to head matchups.

So does Dallas go for a DE, DT, LB or WR with #8 overall & what should they do with #21 overall? At #8 overall many good players will still be left. I think a S with the 2nd rounder. Unless there is a good pass rush next yr no use in investing a high pick on a CB.

Knowing PARCELLS he probaly trade the draft pick for more trades in the later rounds.

Unless I am mistaken, Dallas has two 1st round picks from Buffalo.

It's a sad day for the Cowboys when mere hours after the season is over...everybody is looking to the draft instead of the playoffs.

I haven't looked at many boards...but this is the first one I seen where none of the top ten projected picks isn't Leinart or Rodgers. I don't think either one should be a top ten pick....maybe Rodgers.

Those are how Kiper rates them. They will be drafted in different order for sure. SF & Cle need QBs BAD. Mia needs a RB. After that isn't quite as clear. Dallas is in of players & has been for sometime now. Only NE & Phi can claim consistentcy but losing 3 Conf games doesn't bode well for Phi. Neither does TO's inj.

I still dont think Leinart is the answer for the 49ers at QB. Rodgers might be but I have doubts about Leinart as a pro.

I think it'll go Leinart to SF, Rodgers to Miami, that OL from Florida State (Baron something) to the ans, Benson to Oakland, Braylon Edwards to Cleveland (though they need a QB too), and then Derrick Johnson to San Diego. Alex Smith isn't going to drop very far either after seeing what other mid-major conference QB's like Big Ben and Leftwich have done.

    Thanks, Dio.

If Johnson is there at 8, Parcells will grab him.

I would love it if Dallas got DJ! I read that the UVA LB Brooks is even better because of his upside & current size/speed. I ask you Mikey, don't you think whoever comes in @ QB for the 'Boys would need a weapon @ WR? I am soooo split @ the thought of having Mike Williams OR Braylon Edwards. We'd still be able to get a decent pass rushing/athletic LB or DL @ #21 overall right? Then grab Woody's replacement in the 2nd round @ #8. Plus, we still have quite a few mil $ UNDER THE CAP.

You guys are forgeting that Leinart has said that he will ABSOLUTLY come back for his senior year. As an San Francisco fan, I think it would have been a good choice to get Leinart, but if he stays in college I think SF should get WR Mike Williams. Rattay can be decent with a good line. And if he had Williams, B. Lloyd, and R. Woods to throw to, SF could have a good offense. SF's D will be good if they can stay HEALTHY for once!!!!

For the first time in a long time, It kinda sucks to be a SF fan.
Oh well, next year we will get back on track!

Head-to-head is not a tiebreaker for the NFL draft, Opp Win % is the Tie-Breaker, and then its a coin flip.

Dallas should be picking 11th (their pick) and 20th (from Buff)

Tough call, Dio. I would lean toward Edwards just slightly but Williams would not be bad either.
