    I think I figured out why the Spurs don't repeat.

    2000 Spurs - JT attends banner ceremony, Spurs lose in first round
    2004 Spurs - JT attends banner ceremony, Spurs lose in semifinals
    2006 Spurs - JT attends banner ceremony, Spurs lose in semifinals
    2007 Colts - JT attends banner ceremony, Colts lose in 2nd round
    2008 Spurs, JT does not attend banner ceremony, TBD
