Wow, almost a mirror image of last season as far as injuries go. Ariza is the latest to fall victim to falling on Lamar Odom's foot causing injury. What was once a promising start now looks like another inevitable 8th seed 1st round exit, if they make the playoffs.

Yup word is Ariza has structural foot problems that were bound to catch up with him sooner of later. It was still a good trade for LA though, they managed to dump Cook's toxic contract and pickup a solid role player in Ariza. He should be back just before the playoffs, hopefully he'll have enough time to get back into rhythm.

Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said Kwame Brown would not be excluded from the offense tonight against the Nuggets, even though Denver center Marcus Camby was last season's NBA defensive player of the year.

    damn!

I think this injury hurts Ariza more than it hurts the Lakers. He's fairly new trying to perfect the triangle. This time off is going to hurt that development.
