as long as Montana dominates the top 10, it's good enough for me.
He wasn't nearly flawless in that game because, unlike Montana against Denver or Young against San Diego, Bradshaw actually faced a formidable pass defense in Super Bowl XIII. With that said, Bradshaw has to lose points with the way that he just gave the ball up to Hollywood Henderson and Mike Hegman early in that game.
I still think Super Bowl XIII might have been the best football game ever played.
People say that Jackie Smith's drop of Staubach's pass in the end zone cost Dallas the game.
But I'm of the opinion that the horrible, horrible pass interference call against Benny Barnes on that 3rd and long pass to Swan did more damage to Dallas' chance at victory than the missed TD catch by Smith. At that point in the game, the Dallas defense was asserting itself and Dorsett and the offensive line were beginning to find cracks in the Steelers defense.
This game still ticks me off.
The '78 Cowboys were the defending champs. That's why I give Bradshaw the nod.
What? How the does that matter at all? What the other team did a year ago matters in the next year's Super Bowl?
Seriousyl, what is with your hard-on for the 70's? Joe Montana gave the greatest performance in Super Bowl history and that's that.
How old are you?
It's significant because the Cowboys had basically the same roster after a dominating season in '77. The Steelers and Cowboys were the two ans of football. They were very evenly matched.
How can you call yourself a fan of the NFL when you just throw out entire eras?
I have been reading your posts for a while and nothing you post is groundbreaking. You regurgitate point of views I have read or heard from people that actually know their .
Daniel Day Lewis is the greatest actor of our time. Wow. Never heard that one before.
The Patriots are unbeatable. It looks like you got that one right along with everyone else in the media.
Dude, I don't know if you get your opinions from your big brother or your dad, but you should think for yourself for a change.
