Never been to one, but that one could be really huge with everyone from the I-10/UTSA area.
Cold weather in late January means only one thing-- it's Cowboy Breakfast time.
Funny thing- I went to look for a link to include, and look who came up!
In 2008, the Cowboy Breakfast headed north to the Bass Pro Shop parking lot at The Rim shopping center off I-10 West.
The 30th Annual Cowboy Breakfast sponsored by Toyota will take place from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25th.
Hundreds of volunteers will be serving breakfast tacos, sausage, tamales, menudo and biscuits and gravy. Live entertainment will be provided by Caleb Haynes, Amy Hermes & the Takin' Back Texas Band, The Lavens and Ryan T. Briggs & the Redneck Hippies.
Cowboy Breakfast After-Party:
The festivities don't end after breakfast. The official after-party begins at Leon Springs Dance Hall and runs all day until midnight.
Bobby Baker & The Longnecks will take the stage at 9:00 a.m.; Clint Taft & The Buck Wild Band, Noon; and The Bobby Flores Band, 6:00 p.m.
Texas dance-hall favorite Gary P. Nunn will be the headliner, performing at 9:30 p.m. For more information about Cowboy Breakfast, call (210)648-9242.

Too bad that everyone else has to drive half an hour to get there (or more).
It's free. Everyone else can suck it up.
Or go to McDonalds and pay for breakfast.
Funny ... my mom and his mom were best friends since they were little girls. I had a big ol'crush on him when I was little.![]()

Sounds yummy who wants to go? I'll bring the tums.
I've never been to one either. I'll spend more in gas. I'll take the $1 sausage biscuit and hashbrowns.
Spoken like a true smart-ass!
It may be a far trip, but let's face facts, it had far outgrown the previous areas where it was located and now there's I-10 and two ways of 1604 to get there, so traffic might be helped slightly.
Since when do cowboys eat breakfast tacos and tamales?
I think i'll pay for breakfast and not eat in the butt-nipping cold.
what is the appeal? i've never been either!
do people take the day off and party down!?
a free taco ain't worth all that hassle!
Do you get to eat with a real cowboy?
Anyone heading to the Cowgirl breakfast at The Palace?
Too expensive, there aint nothing free there.
ATRAIN will be going to the Cowboy breakfast at Hard Body's.
He'll want to get his breakfast sausage taco there.
It's just a tradition that started a long time ago and people like to be able to say "I went to the Cowboy Breakfast!" You get up at the crack of dawn to stand in a long ass line to get a free taco. Oh, and maybe the chance to lean into the camera's view and wave and say "Hi Mom" while some reporter does a live feed on the local news.
I'm in, who wants to go?
Sure there is. A can't miss pick-up line is "I got that meth... wanna ?"
A lot of high school students used to go before school.
Been once, will never do that again.
Megan's Dad works that thing every year, oh how I don't envy him.
I've been once.... My old girlfriend slipped on some gravy and fell on her ass.
The man who es about EVERY GTG north of 410 is going to drive halfway to Kerrville at O dark thirty for a free taco. That's rich.
