Never mind, too mean.
How in the do you remember which one to use? , I get it wrong all the damn time.![]()
Never mind, too mean.
too can also be associated with quan y. for instance too much, or too far.
two is the only one of the three with a "w".
That's why I said "also" or "very."
too has to do with amount
he has too much balls
to is everything except too
i have to
Actually that was good.. , I was writing it down...
I went to West Campus, grammar was not a priority.
"too" is "also" or something close to "very." (not exactly very but excessive quan y).
"two" is the number.
"to" is everything else.
No wonder Sequ's sign read "We Want You Too Keep West Campus Open."
That's the best you can come up with? Too much balls??! Are you certain that pink isn't a signal for the rest of us to be kind to the specially enabled boy?!
Shouldn't that be "Two much balls"?![]()
you TOO should go TO the bowling alley.
Alright my hypocrisy is done for the night.
Tutu.
Just use "2" for all of them.
The kids'll think you're hip.
Easiest way I've heard to remember which one to use is..............anytime you can subs ute "tuh" you use the word "to".
ex: I went "tuh" the store.
Give that "tuh" me.
It won't work when you need to use "too".
ex: I want some "tuh".
Simple.
Sequ is too short to see over the two foot fence.
Why worry about this crap on a message board?
I have yet to see someone who doesn't flub stuff from to time...I don't even think it's a matter of getting the meaning or not...I think people just start typing and type the one they are thinking of, regardless of whether or not it's appropriate.
There, they're, their...I know what they mean and which one should be used where...doesn't mean I always type the correct one in the middle of an argument.
Ditto your and you're.
Although I will say..."you're" could charge TPark with murder, and win.
The only one that really annoys the crap out of me is rediculous...I see a lot of people that never make mistakes flub that one. It's the new apitomy
My own personal regular screw up is "maintenence(other than too)", I can see it spelled correctly right in front of me and I will still misspell it that way...and I think I'm the only one that does that. Every one else seems to spell it correctly.
This reminds me...I was a mod at a baseball site...the mods there would reprimand the posters for bad grammar, puncutation...a couple of those bags even tried to get some guys banned for those kinds of mistakes.
It's a freaking message board...not English class.
Wait a minute. Didn't you start this EXACT same thread a couple of years ago . . . and didn't Kori zing you then?
What did you say originally? I'm getting a weird sense of deja-vu.
too means too much of something
to is directional
that's how I remember
this Thread is way TOO re ed TO post in.
